Yadhagiri Gajam is a master weaver and entrepreneur from Puttapaka in the State of Telangana. He started Manasa Handlooms in 2012 with an objective to provide sustainable livelihood to weavers and also provide market linkages. There are 25 weavers working with him today weaving Ikat fabrics and dupattas in silks and cottons.
Puttapaka is a village famous for the tie and dye technique of dying yarns before weaving into Ikat fabric. This technique requires tremendous designing and technical skills. The weavers at Manasa are weaving contemporary designs in the traditional style creating original and exclusive designs
