This fair trade hand woven cotton fabric is from Jhiri, Rajasthan, India and has a subtle texture to the weave.
The Adarsh Hathkargha Cooperative Society was founded by Devendra & Sudhi in 2004 with villagers of Jhiri, Rajasthan, in order to provide alternative sources of income for the area’s farmers.
Since 2004, they have grown from two handlooms and ten members to owning 22 handlooms and employing 30 people. Devendra & Sudhi now also run an alternative school for kids around the village as well as from creating very authentic and beautiful handloom fabrics.
This fabric is sold in 50 cm increments, cut in continuous lengths.
