This fabulous cushion cover is the result of a cross cultural project of Aboriginal designs and traditional Kashmiri rug-making techniques.
Using hand dyed wool and chain stitch embroidery, this is a totally handmade piece.
The artist, Karen Barnes, has control and ownership of the intellectual property. Purchase of this products guarantees a direct return to the Aboriginal artist and their community.
Karen is a keen observer of wildlife. Karen paints traditional Jukurrpa (Dreaming Stories) but more recently has turned her hand to birds and other animals in her country. This kangaroo is typical of the life and personality she brings to her wildlife theme.
