This fabulous cushion cover is the result of a cross cultural project of Aboriginal designs and traditional Kashmiri rug-making techniques.
Using hand dyed wool and chain stitch embroidery, this is a totally handmade piece.
Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) The dramatic orange and black butterfly is a migratory butterfly. One generation moves north and the next then moves south. The species is found from southern Canada to northern South America, New Zealand, Australia and occasionally in Europe. Despite its adaptability in recent years the Monarch has undergone a steep decline and is endangered by loss of habitat and climate change.
