It doesn't get more hand-made than this beautiful shawl.
First the linen thread is spun by hand, then handwoven into this lightweight and generous shawl.
Then the cloth is sewn all over with running stitches which are then gathered up to create hundreds of tiny folds, then dyed in indigo. When the stitches are released, this fabulous unique pattern of shibori is revealed.
When that is all done, the 8cm long fringe is twisted by hand.
There is only have one in stock.
It measures 93cm x 260cm - long and soft enough to fling dramatically about your person or scrunch up around the neck.
Linen is a great between seasons fabric: warm, light and breathable.
