Handwoven shot cotton fabric from the looms of Andhra Pradesh.
Shot refers to a fabric which is made up warp and weft yarns of two or more colours producing an iridescent appearance. A shot is a single throw of the bobbin that carries the weft thread through the warp.
Blue and yellow yarns are used in this fabric to give a shimmering colour effect.
A geometric motif border is woven at both the edges of this fabric.
